Google Wallet

Google Wallet is a payment service from Google, which is available both on mobile devices and as a desktop version. The Google Wallet service, which was created in 2011, replaced Google Checkout, which was launched in 2006, two years later. Google Checkout facilitated payments in online stores. However, the service now allowed payments with credit cards, which is why it failed to be a great success in Germany. Google Wallet can be used both in on-site and online retail. For this, NFC technology is used to exchange signals between the mobile device and a so-called terminal. A terminal can be, for example, a checkout system in stores, which makes cashless payment possible, but also a payment process for online shopping. Google Wallet users simply have to enter their delivery and billing address and credit or debit card details. At the beginning of 2018, the Android Pay and Google Wallet services were merged to form the Google Wallet brand. This made it possible to create and collect customer, gift, boarding, and transit cards as well as event tickets in addition to cashless payments with credit and debit cards.

Entry Tickets

Whether for a concert, a visit to the cinema or a museum, an entry ticket is essential. Depending on the use case, an entry ticket contains various data about the event and the person who has purchased the ticket. It makes it possible to find out whether the person is authorized to attend an event. A conventional entry ticket is usually made of paper and varies in size depending on the event. Entry tickets are also sent to customers in PDF format, who either have to print them out themselves or save them somewhere on their mobile devices. Entry tickets can be designed according to the event. A logo, certain colors and, depending on the size, images make the ticket appealing and convey a feeling of the event and the providers behind it. Digital entry tickets, which can be stored on mobile devices in the form of passes, are becoming increasingly popular, as the ticket cannot be forgotten and can be found on the smartphone in no time at all in the corresponding app. These cards can also be personalized according to the event and have other advantages. For example, visitors can receive information about the event in the form of push notifications on their smartphone.
