Apple
Pkpass is a file format from Apple for mobile devices like the iPhone or iPad. To open files of this format an additional application is needed. The Pkpass file format is mainly used by Apple's Passbook application. This application makes it possible to store digital cards on the mobile device. These cards can be digital tickets such as boarding cards, loyalty cards, concert tickets or vouchers. Alternatively, the end user can also create his or her own cards. All saved cards are stored as a Pkpass file and can be redeemed or activated by scanning.
