Fast data exchange via QR code
When a QR code is scanned, the device's camera is used to capture the code
and decode the information it contains. Smartphone cameras easily capture
the QR code, and in the next step your customer can save the contact
information. On iOS, the QR code can be scanned using the camera app, which
opens a link to the VCF file for the contact book. If you are using an
Android device, you may need an app that can read the QR code.
Compatible with all mobile devices
VCF files (vCard) are a common format for digital business cards and for
storing contact data. They are widely compatible with all mobile devices,
including iOS and Android. Most smartphones have built-in functions to
import or export VCF files as standard. This universal support means that
contact data can be easily exchanged between different devices and operating
systems. Apps or special software are usually not required as the file
format is widely recognized and works across platforms.
We take care of the VCF file creation for you!
We are happy to offer you the creation of the required VCF files as an
additional service. We can also take over the maintenance and updating of
your contact information. These are stored on our server and can be updated
with the latest data at any time at your request, without you having to
generate new QR codes in Kortpress. Our support team will be happy to answer
any further questions you may have about creating and maintaining VCF files.

Example Business Card
Efficient Networking
One key advantage is speed and efficiency. Compared to traditional printed
business cards, sending a digital business card or scanning a QR code
containing the contact details saves valuable time. Contact details are
imported directly into the recipient's address book without having to enter
them manually. This also avoids potential errors that can easily happen when
manually entering phone numbers or email addresses.
How the data gets onto the digital business card
The contact information is stored as a VCF file on your customer's server.
(On request, we also offer you the option of creating and maintaining the
VCF files and making them available on a server). A link is then generated
from the VCF file. This link is later converted into a QR code in Kortpress
and displayed on the digital business card in the wallet. If changes are
made to the file (e.g. new job title), the information stored under the link
is updated.
